Trust vs. Mistrust: This is the stage in which children need to be provided with basic needs in order to gain trust. If the do not receive basic needs they will have a sense of mistrust. This room is for the children between 0-1 and we provide them with basic needs like food, water, and clothing so they develop a sense of trust.
Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt: This is the stage in which children begin to perform tasks on their own. If they don't do these task the will be ashamed of themselves and doubt their abilities. This room is for children between 1-2 and we start to let them perform tasks on their own. We give them toys and puzzles to try to figure out and let them get out their own food.
Initiative vs. Guilt: This is the stage in which children begin to make plans and carry out tasks on their own. If they don't perform these plans on their own they feel guilty. This room is for children 3-6 and we allow them to start making their own plans to go outside and play or go to the bathroom. We provide them with freedom to start doing actions on their own.
Industry vs. Inferiority: This is the stage in which children are happy after they perform a task on their own. If they don't do things on their own they feel inferior. This room is for children 6-puberty and we provide them with toys that help them learn on their own. We give them a lot of freedom to do things by themselves.
